Description
Okayti Tea estate started life as Rangdoo Tea Estate in the 1870’s.
The teas from Rangdoo produced a distinctive taste and flavour that Tea tasters at the London auction begun judging all Darjeeling Teas against to the Rangdoo standard. Hence the tea was affectionately known as “The only OKAY TEA” and the estate was rechristened as Okayti.
Okayti still produces quality teas to the original blueprint laid down. The first flush teas that are picked after the April rains are light in body with the unmistakable muscatel flavour that Darjeeling teas are famous for.
